Today, I decided to compare 3 fluids I usually use: Chanel Teint Innocence (I always buy it 'cause I guess I am a snob ;) ), L'Oreal True Match (recently discovered by me because of my sister, who has been using it for a long time) and EffectMAXI by Dr Irena Eris (sent to me as a Christmas gift).
 |
| Packaging - 30 ml each |
 |
| Only EffectMAXI is packed in a plastic tube but costs around 1/5 the price of L'Oreal |
Blending & consistency:
 |
| Right after application from the left: Eris, L'Oreal and Chanel. |
EffectMAXI is the most dense of all three, Chanel comes next (not visible much on the picture as the application was relatively hard)
 |
with small finger touches added :) in the artificial light. All NATURAL TONES: EffectMAXI Dr Irena Eris no:2 Natural, True Match L'Oreal No: N4 Beige, Teint Innocence Chanel No:50 Naturel |
 |
| in the artificial light |
 |
| in the natural light (very snowy weather :))) |
 |
| From the top: Chanel, L'Oreal and Eris totally blended in a natural light |
Now the rating (0 to 10):
1. Packaging & Application:
Chanel - 5 (only for the glass bottle, application is a disaster, a lot of cosmetic stays in the bottle thrown away, a real waste)
L'Oreal - 10 (the pump is the most hygienic way of application)
Eris - 8 (for plastic tube but in the end you are able to cut it in a half and use the rest of the cosmetic without any wastage)
2. Density and feel:
Chanel - 7 (I can feel resistance under the fingers, it's better for brush application)
L'Oreal - 8 (blends very well and softly but leaves an oily film on the skin)
Eris - 10 (nearly visible on the skin, natural feel and look, matting)
3. Smell:
Chanel - 5 (plastic unnatural smell, unfortunately I can't smell any luxury in it)
L'Oreal - 10 (I could smell a little vanilla in it, rather nice, not disturbing)
Eris - 10 (very fresh floral and vanilla smell as a finish, I was quite surprised but loved it at once)
4. Durability:
Chanel - 3 (impossible to last a day, I would expect more for this price)
L'Oreal - 7 (not lasting more than 5 hours on my oily skin, much better if used with a base)
Eris - 8 (I am not able to determine this as it's not leaving smudges at all, nevertheless I decided to deduct 2 points because I think it should be better matting)
5. Overall Performance & Rating:
Chanel - 5 (supposed to look natural, definitely isn't)
L'Oreal - 8 (really well blendable and natural looking)
Eris - 9 (antibacterial performance, smell and luxury feel as well as really good blending have been spoiled with a plastic, not attractive packaging)
