Chanel, L'Oreal and Dr Irena Eris fluids' comparison and review

Today, I decided to compare 3 fluids I usually use: Chanel Teint Innocence (I always buy it 'cause I guess I am a snob ;) ), L'Oreal True Match (recently discovered by me because of my sister, who has been using it for a long time) and EffectMAXI by Dr Irena Eris (sent to me as a Christmas gift).

Packaging - 30 ml each

Only EffectMAXI is packed in a plastic tube but costs around 1/5 the price of L'Oreal

Blending & consistency:

Right after application from the left: Eris, L'Oreal and Chanel.
EffectMAXI is the most dense of all three, Chanel comes next (not visible much on the picture as the application was relatively hard)

with small finger touches added :) in the artificial light. All NATURAL TONES:
EffectMAXI Dr Irena Eris no:2 Natural, True Match L'Oreal No: N4 Beige, Teint Innocence Chanel No:50 Naturel

in the artificial light

in the natural light (very snowy weather :)))

From the top: Chanel, L'Oreal and Eris totally blended in a natural light

Now the rating (0 to 10):

1. Packaging & Application:
Chanel - 5 (only for the glass bottle, application is a disaster, a lot of cosmetic stays in the bottle thrown away, a real waste)
L'Oreal - 10 (the pump is the most hygienic way of application)
Eris - 8 (for plastic tube but in the end you are able to cut it in a half and use the rest of the cosmetic without any wastage)

2. Density and feel:

Chanel - 7 (I can feel resistance under the fingers, it's better for brush application)
L'Oreal - 8 (blends very well and softly but leaves an oily film on the skin)
Eris - 10 (nearly visible on the skin, natural feel and look, matting)

3. Smell:

Chanel - 5 (plastic unnatural smell, unfortunately I can't smell any luxury in it)
L'Oreal - 10 (I could smell a little vanilla in it, rather nice, not disturbing)
Eris - 10 (very fresh floral and vanilla smell as a finish, I was quite surprised but loved it at once)

4. Durability:

Chanel - 3 (impossible to last a day, I would expect more for this price)
L'Oreal - 7 (not lasting more than 5 hours on my oily skin, much better if used with a base)
Eris - 8 (I am not able to determine this as it's not leaving smudges at all, nevertheless I decided to deduct 2 points because I think it should be better matting)

5. Overall Performance & Rating:

Chanel - 5 (supposed to look natural, definitely isn't)
L'Oreal - 8 (really well blendable and natural looking)
Eris - 9 (antibacterial performance, smell and luxury feel as well as really good blending have been spoiled with a plastic, not attractive packaging)

Kid - cat :)

Last week I did cat make up for my daughter's mask ball at school.

And this is the result:

The one on the left :)

More Inglot shopping!

My daughter's mask ball was for me a great opportunity to finally leave the house. I am usually not very active this time of year and choose to stay home rather than shop or take a walk through the snow :( I hate winter!

Nevertheless, I had to do some shopping before the ball for my daughter and send out some packages :)

Visiting the Inglot store has ended with purchasing these:

I had to put my previously purchased eye shadows in a case, so I bought a small case with one new eye shadow to fill in the blank :) From the left: Double SP 498, Pearl 395 (just beatiful!) and Double SP 459

And my new Freedom System palette with 3 shadows still missing as I couldn't make up my mind and didn't remember which shadows I already have :)))))
From the left above: AMC shine 120,  Double SP 471, Pearl 430, AMC shine 129 and AMC 74, below from the left: Matte 338 (I usually don't use matts but in this case I surrendered) and Double SP 473

Wibo nail polish No:11 swatch

Let me present another lovely shade from my Wibo collection. Their creamy, but not too heavy formula enables even application, yet to look good they require more than one layer. They dry fast, therefore it's not a big problem for me. Just take a look:

Wibo No: 11 (two layers):

And just a quick reminder of all Wibos I got:

Lirene - new products in the awarded face care program line

As I wrote in my previous post, I have received a surprise package from Dr Irena Eris:

The package

One of the gifts I found inside of the package

The Under Twenty line products

The Under Twenty line products

The new Lirene line products

The new line of the Lirene line products

The new line of the Lirene line products

The new line of the Lirene line products

The Lirene line products came with a photo album

I've unpacked the 40+ face cream I intend to try out

The packaging is quite nice though I don't like plastic jars in general.

And a beautiful greeting card from Dr Irena Eris team!

Lirene Smoothness +40 face cream 50 ml:

Though I've received 2 face creams, both newly introduced to the Lirene line, one of them is going to be used by my mum I guess, as 60+ is far over my age.

I am now 33, therefore I have chosen the WYG£ADZENIE 40+ (It can be translated as "Smoothness 40+") an anti aging cream with ceramides.

Ceramides are a family of lipid molecules. A ceramide is composed of sphingosine and a fatty acid. Ceramides are found in high concentrations within the cell membrane of cells. They are one of the component lipids that make up sphingomyelin, one of the major lipids in the lipid bilayer. For years, it was assumed that ceramides and other sphingolipids found in the bilayer cell membrane were purely structural elements. This is now known to be not completely true. Ceramide can actually act as a signaling molecule. The most well-known functions of ceramides as cellular signals include regulating the differentiation, proliferation, programmed cell death (PCD), and apoptosis (Type I PCD) of cells. (Source: Wikipedia)

It contains also:

Vitamin A - that helps prevent wrinkles
Almond oil - that smothes the skin and restores the lipid layer of the skin
Vitamins C and E - that help prevent photo-aging of the skin

Lirene Anti-aging cleansing milk, Source: Dr Irena Eris

It helps in the process of preventing aging of mature skin.

Active ingredients include vitamins C and E as well as glycerin.

Wibo polish swatches Express Growth #21

In my earlier post I have mentioned about the new polish line I have recently become in the possession of. Here's the first shade I've chosen to swatch for you, my dears:

Unfortunately, the name of this shade isn't well visible, it's not written down on the sticker but it's stamped directly into the glass on the bottom. But I guess it would be no: 21

This is the first layer:

These are two layers:

This is the best representation of the color:

This color is not a regular navy blue color. It is jeanny-blue or grey-blue in my opinion.

I have been wearing this polish for 3 days now and it started chipping a little, nevertheless I guess it's worth its price. Compared to the price I'd say that it's surprisingly good quality!

And this shade of blue..... Just fan-tas-tic!

This polish is from the Express Growth line and it contains vitamins and calcium but I'd better stay to my regular conditioner used separately.

What do you think about this shade? Nice, isn't it?

My new polishes by Wibo

Before I publish my first make-up tutorial video (I still have problems with the Bluetooth connection, therefore I am not able to upload it) I'll show you my newest polish purchase....

I bought 7 pieces, approx. USD1/each. A real bargain!

Previously, I haven't heard of this company, yet, there was not too much to risk (only a dollar for each polish!)

What made me buy it was the colors. I haven't seen such jeans-like and baby blues anywhere, so I started with the blue colors then decided that nude green and pink would be a perfect addition to it. And then, when I realized how cheap it was, I chose some more colors. And here's my brand new Wibo polish collection:

I am back! .....and one delicious purchase!

Hi guys!

I have been a little bit sick lately and I didn't have much time for writing :(

Nevertheless, I am back now and I need to tell you about my new purchase.

I haven't been much into Polish cosmetic brands, with the exception of Inglot and Eveline. But I need to reevaluate my opinion after my today's shopping. I went out after some time of illness and first thing I did was to visit the Rossman drugstore/cosmetic store to buy some polishes, shampoo and a hair dye (Currently, I look terrible with my Shakira-like hair) as I definitely need to shape up before going to work tomorrow.

I bought the Eveline's pure control face wash and the Clean&Clear's shine control daily facial lotion for my oily skin. I haven't tried the Eveline's face wash yet but I know I can buy this brand with my eyes closed and so I did. Soon, I will let you know what it's like.

I also bought a face cream of a Polish brand, I have never tried before, which is Barwa. With my oily and acne skin I usually have a lot of problems with make up, which lasts only 1 to 3 hours on my face :( I have been using matting fluids and creams and make up bases of nearly every brand I know... I've tried almost everything that is available on the market. With no or only tiny results whatsoever, I need to say :(

With this cream I am hoping to finally win the battle with oil on my skin.

This sulphur cream is giving the skin matt and powdery look, which makes it perfect as a make up base.
It contains sulphur, which is known for its antibacterial action and zinc oxide, which has antiseptic properties.

And it doesn't smell like other sulphur creams I know. It smells like orange sweets, and to be honest, I haven't ever seen or smelled any cream like this before. It's soooo delicious!!!!

I think that I need to try the whole sulphur line of Barwa.

Here's what they write on their web page:

SIARKOWA MOC Antibacterial Matt Cream is created to daily facial care of skin with acne tendency. Especially selected active ingredients allow to effective fight with acne eruptions and skin shine. The Cream mats the skin of face for many hours giving it powdery look. The cream is an excellent foundation under make–up.
  • it instantly and durable mats the skin giving it powder–like look
  • it helps to close expanded pores
  • it effectively reduces pimples and prevents its new formation
  • it gives the skin a protection from UV radiation
  • it makes the skin velvety and fresh

Writing in English is not that easy GIVAWAY!

I know I am not perfect, I am not saying I am. I make mistakes and I am not afraid to admit it ;)

Now it's your turn!

Not to make mistakes but to find mine ;)))))

You are welcome to send me a quotation of a phrase or sentence that I wrote but is incorrect in English and its correction (including this post) and I will be more than happy to give out the 3 pcs. Inglot freedom system brow palette, with your favorite colors you can choose from the Inglot web site including highlighter, brow shadow and a wax of your choice.

The palette will look like the one I described here.

And now the rules:

1. You don't have to be the follower of my blog.
2. You don't have to like my blog.
3. You don't need to follow me on Tweeter nor Facebook nor anywhere ;)
4. I will be sending the gift anywhere in the world.
5. I cannot be held responsible for any custom problems or fees. I will declare this gift as a "gift".
In case the gift returns I will be sending it again to another person entering this givaway.
6. If I like I can give out more than one palette: one for the person who is chosen by Fate ;))) (see below), one for the person chosen by me ;)
7. Drawing shall be performed by me. My 8-year-old daughter shall be asked to prepare tickets and write down all names (or I'll write them, still undecided) then I'll choose a suitable bowl, then close my eyes and pick one coupon - the name on the drawn ticket is considered to be chosen by Fate ;))))
8. One person may enter only one time - sorry, this is the only rule, but in case of more than one entry nobody will be disqualified, only counted once.
9. One quotation may be entered once.
10. You can enter this givaway by leaving a comment below.
11. The givaway ends on 12/31/11 (my birthday) - I assume that I will sober up right after 01/03/2012 (it's 3rd of January not March 1st) to be able to announce the winner(s) ;)))))

Good luck! :DDD

Inglot Shopping

Yesterday I went to a shopping center and couldn't resist buying some more Inglots :)

Here are my newly purchased items:

I bought 1 blush, 2 eye shadows and 1 brow wax.

I don't have to say that they're stunning, because everyone knows they surely are!

Especially, the blush (Ultradelicate Blush No:82), which looks extremely natural and fantastically blends in to the skin. The texture is incredibly smooth and soft. Just perfect for the blondes or all girls, who value natural look as I do.

The brow wax I bought is labeled with no: 570, and looks very dark but after the application it looks much much lighter depending on the amount used.

I had to have it because I ran out of wax I purchased some time ago in a set of 3 which now looks like this:

From the left: Pro-5 Freedom Eye Shadow Pearl No:416, Brow Powder Pro 5 no:567 and Brow Wax no:570 (now taking place of no:573 I was using previously)

Here's how the wax looks like on my hand:

And now the shadows:
Highlighting pearl Pro-5 eye shadow no:395 and Double sparkle (it says "double sp." on the packaging) no:459
The swatches from the Inglot web site look like this:

These are pictures taken by me:
